India's stock market woes are only continuing and the investors' Tuesday morning might have just gotten worse following IndusInd Bank shares hitting lower circuit. IndusInd Bank suffered a massive blow on Tuesday as its shares plummeted 25%, hitting a 52-week low of Rs 674.55. The steep drop came after the bank disclosed discrepancies in its derivatives accounting, sparking concerns among investors and analysts. This marks the steepest fall in IndusInd Bank’s stock since March 2020. With analysts warning of a possible earnings hit and raising concerns about weak internal controls, the stock has taken a severe beating. An internal review found that the bank had underestimated hedging costs related to past forex transactions. This revelation has forced the bank to acknowledge a potential impact of Rs 1,600-2,000 crore on its net worth, equivalent to 2.35 per cent as of December 2024.Following this, investors reacted sharply, causing the bank’s shares to hit their lowest level since November 2020. What investors should doWho is affected?The biggest impact is on IndusInd Bank and its investors. The bank's stock has already lost 42% over the past year. Analysts believe that the findings raise concerns about the bank’s internal controls and compliance measures.When did this issue emerge?The discrepancies were identified between September and October 2024, following the Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) updated master directions on derivatives. The bank disclosed the issue in its exchange filing on March 10, Monday, after a board meeting. The Nifty Bank index fell 0.7%, while the broader Nifty 50 declined by 0.27%. This led to an incorrect valuation in its accounts. Motilal Oswal downgraded IndusInd Bank to ‘Neutral’ with a revised target price of Rs 925, down from an earlier estimate.

जागरण टीम, नई दिल्ली/पटना। Land For Job Case: भूमि के बदले नौकरी मामले में राउज एवेन्यू की विशेष अदालत ने तेज प्रताप यादव और हेमा यादव जमानत दे दी। कोर्ट ने दोनों को 50 हजार के निजी मुचलके और एक जमानती पर जमानत दे दी।

समन पर दोनों अदालत के समक्ष पेश हुए थे। इस मामले में पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री लालू यादव, राबड़ी यादव और पूर्व उपमुख्यमंत्री तेजस्वी यादव भी आरोपित हैं और सभी को पहले ही जमानत मिल चुकी है।

इससे पहले कोर्ट में जमीन के बदले नौकरी मामले की सुनवाई हुई। जिसमे बिहार के पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री लालू प्रसाद यादव के बेटे तेज प्रताप यादव और बेटी हेमा यादव कोर्ट में पेश हुए। कोर्ट ने सुनवाई के बाद उन्हें 50 हजार रुपये के निजी मुचलके पर जमानत दे दी।

लालू, तेज प्रताप समेत बाकी आरोपियों को 11 मार्च को पेश होने को कहा गया था

इससे पहले कोर्ट ने इस मामले में लालू प्रसाद यादव, तेजस्वी यादव और बाकी आरोपियों को समन भेजकर 11 मार्च को पेश होने को कहा था। इस मामले में सीबीआइ ने लालू प्रसाद यादव समेत 78 लोगों के खिलाफ विस्तृत चार्जशीट दाखिल की थी।

चार्जशीट के अनुसार 2004 से 2009 के बीच रेल मंत्री के रूप में कार्यरत रहते हुए लालू प्रसाद यादव ने रेलवे की ग्रुप-डी की नौकरियों के बदले उम्मीदवारों से जमीन और संपत्ति ट्रांसफर कराई थी।

सीबीआइ ने वर्ष 2022 को लालू प्रसाद यादव, उनकी पत्नी, दो बेटियों, अज्ञात सरकारी अधिकारियों और कुछ निजी व्यक्तियों के खिलाफ मामला दर्ज किया था। जांच एजेंसी अब तक इस मामले में 30 आरोपियों के खिलाफ अभियोजन की स्वीकृति हासिल कर चुकी है। कोर्ट में आगे की सुनवाई के दौरान इस मामले से जुड़े अन्य आरोपियों की भूमिका की भी जांच संभावित है।

क्या है लैंड फॉर जॉब का मामला?

लैंड फॉर जॉब स्कैम मामला 16 साल पुराना है जब लालू यादव रेल मंत्री थे। जांच एजेंसी का दावा है कि लालू यादव ने रेल मंत्री रहते हुए रेलवे में लोगों को नौकरी देने के बदले उनकी जमीन लिखवा ली थी। बता दें कि यादव 2004 से 2009 तक रेल मंत्री रहे थे।

सीबीआई ने इस मामले में केस दर्ज किया था। सीबीआई के मुताबिक, युवाओं को पहले रेलवे में ग्रुप डी के पदों पर सब्स्टीट्यूट के तौर पर रिक्रूट किया गया था और जब उनके परिवार ने जमीन का सौदा किया, तब उन्हें रेगुलर कर दिया गया।
