Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) were net sellers in FY2025, offloading domestic equities worth Rs 1,27,401 crore. The intensity of selling, reduced significantly in March which saw a sell-off worth Rs 3972.61 crore. Domestic Institutional Investors (DIIs), on the other hand, remained buyers throughout the year and purchased stocks worth Rs 6,06,368 crore. In March, the buying activity amounted to Rs 37,079.08 crore. On Friday, FIIs sold shares worth Rs 4,352.82 crore while domestic institutional investors (DIIs) were net buyers at Rs 7,646.49 crore.FIIs were sellers seven times on a monthly basis in the financial year that ends on Monday, March 31, 205. The highest exodus happened in October and January when the FIIs sold shares worth Rs 94,017 crore and Rs 78,027 crore, respectively. FIIs were net buyers in June, July, August, September and December with highest buying seen at Rs 57,724 crore in September.Meanwhile, DIIs remained bullish on the Indian equities through the year, with not even a single month recording net selling activity by them. FIIs turning net buyers over the last fortnight helped Nifty finish with nearly 6% gains in March. It was after five straight months of decline, the longest since Nifty's launch in 1996. Vijayakumar attributes three major reasons for the reversal. One is the valuations turned attractive after the Nifty plunged 16% from the September peak, till February. Another reason was the recent appreciation in rupee which led to reversal of the momentum trade towards US investment. Finally, India’s macros like GDP, IIP and CPI inflation improved, paving the way for a rally in the market, this analyst said.Going forward, the trend in FII flows will depend mainly on Trump’s reciprocal tariffs expected on April 2nd. If the tariffs are not severe, the rally may continue."Manoj Purohit, Partner & Leader, FS Tax, Tax & Regulatory Services at BDO India pointed out another big development, which he said is a sentiment booster. "One of the key announcements made by the Sebi in its Board meeting w.r.t the FPI community has encouraged the FPIs. Based on the reaction of a few large banks on restricting the P-Notes trading volume, the existing threshold for granular beneficial ownership disclosures was increased from Rs 25,000 crore to Rs 50,000 crore. FPIs having more than 50% of their portfolio in a single corporate group will continue to abide by the earlier limit. जागरण ब्यूरो, नई दिल्ली। म्यांमार और थाईलैंड में आए भूकंप के बाद भारत ने 50 टन राहत सामग्री भेजी है। दोनों देशों के अधिकारी संपर्क में हैं। म्यांमार में भूकंप से मरने वालों का आंकड़ा एक हजार के पार हो चुका है। सैगोंग फॉल्ट ने म्यांमार में तबाही मचाई है। आइये जानते हैं भूकंप के लिए जिम्मेदार सैगोंग फॉल्ट के बारे में।

भूकंप के लिहाज से संवेदनशील क्षेत्रों में शामिल है म्यांमार

म्यांमार भूकंप के लिहाज से सबसे अधिक सक्रिय क्षेत्रों में से एक है। ग्लोबल सीस्मिक रिस्क मैप पर म्यांमार रेड जोन में है। इसका मतलब है भूकंप का मध्यम से अधिक खतरा।

सैगोंग शहर के पास से गुजरती है दरार

म्यांमार में धरती की सतह के नीचे की चट्टानों में एक बहुत बड़ी दरार मौजूद है, जो देश के कई हिस्सों से होकर गुजरती है। यह दरार म्यांमार के सैगोंग शहर के पास से गुजरती है इसलिए इसका नाम सैगोंग फॉल्ट पड़ा। यह म्यांमार में उत्तर से दक्षिण की तरफ 1200 किमी तक फैली हुई है।

तेजी से खिसक रही हैं चट्टानें लाती हैं शक्तिशाली भूकंप

इसे 'स्ट्राइक-स्लिप फॉल्ट' कहते हैं। इसका मतलब है कि इसके दोनों तरफ की चट्टानें एक-दूसरे के बगल से हॉरिजॉन्टल दिशा में खिसकती हैं, ऊपर-नीचे नहीं। इसे आप ऐसे समझ सकते हैं जैसे दो किताबें टेबल पर रखी हों और उन्हें एक-दूसरे के खिलाफ स्लाइड किया जाए। सैगोंग फॉल्ट में चट्टानों के खिसकने की अनुमानित रफ्तार 11 मिलीमीटर से 18 मिलीमीटर सालाना है।

चट्टानों के लगातार खिसकने से ऊर्जा का दबाव बनता है और यह समय-समय पर भूकंप के रूप में ऊर्जा बाहर निकलती है। सालाना 18 मिलीमीटर तक जमीन खिसकने का मतलब है कि यहां जमीन के नीचे काफी अधिक हलचल है। इसकी वजह से बड़े पैमाने पर ऊर्जा इकठ्ठा हो रही है, जो शक्तिशाली भूकंप ला सकती है।

इन देशों तक लगे भूकंप के झटके

म्यांमार में आए भूकंप से बड़े पैमाने पर जान माल का नुकसान हुआ है। रिक्टर स्केल पर भूकंप की तीव्रता 7 से अधिक थी और इसके झटके म्यांमार के अलावा थाईलैंड, बांग्लादेश, भारत, वियतनाम और चीन तक महसूस किए गए।

अगले हफ्ते थाईलैंड जाएंगे पीएम मोदी

प्रधानमंत्री मोदी अगले हफ्ते तीन व चार अप्रैल को बैंकाक की यात्रा पर जाने वाले हैं। वहां चार अप्रैल 2025 को छठा बिम्सटेक शिखर सम्मेलन होने वाला है जिसमें भारत, थाईलैंड, म्यांमार, नेपाल, श्रीलंका, भूटान और बांग्लादेश के राष्ट्राध्यक्ष हिस्सा लेंगे।

प्रधानमंत्री मोदी की तीसरी थाईलैंड यात्रा की तैयारियां चल ही रही थीं कि ठीक एक हफ्ते पहले वहां भूकंप आ गया है। भूकंप से शिखर सम्मेलन पर होने वाले असर को लेकर जब सवाल पूछा गया तो विदेश सचिव विक्रम मिसरी ने कहा, ‘हम थाईलैंड के साथ संपर्क में हैं। अभी तक ऐसा कोई संकेत नहीं है कि हम कुछ कह सकें।
