राज्य ब्यूरो, पटना। भारतीय पुलिस सेवा के अधिकारी रहे मोहम्मद नुरुल होदा अब पुलिस सेवा से मुक्त होकर राजनीति में अपनी नई पारी की शुरुआत करने जा रहे हैं। भारतीय पुलिस सेवा के 1995 बैच के अधिकारी होदा रेलवे महानिरीक्षक पद पर पदस्थापित थे, लेकिन वक्फ संशोधन कानून के लागू होने के बाद इन्होंने अपने पद से इस्तीफा दे दिया।

सरकारी कार्यों से मुक्त होने के बाद होदा ने मुकेश सहनी की विकासशील इंसान पार्टी के साथ अपनी नई पारी शुरू करने का निर्णय लिया है।जानकारी के अनुसार नुरुल होदा बुधवार को वीआइपी की सदस्यता ग्रहण करेंगे। नुरुल होदा का जन्म सीतामढ़ी में हुआ था।

पढ़ने में काफी तेज होदा ने दिल्ली विश्वविद्यालय से विधि स्नातक की डिग्री प्राप्त की। भारतीय पुलिस सेवा में इनका चयन 1995 में हुआ। इसके बाद उन्होंने कई महत्वपूर्ण पदों पर काम किया। लंबे प्रशासनिक अनुभव के बाद अब वे वीआईपी की सदस्यता ले रहे हैं।

जागरण संवाददाता, पटना। Patna News: पटना एयरपोर्ट से पुणे के व्यवसायी का अपहरण कर हत्या करने के मामले में पुलिस ने मंगलवार को 19 वर्षीय युवती समेत 11 आरोपितों को गिरफ्तार कर संगठित गिरोह का भंडाफोड़ किया है। इन अपराधियों ने झारखंड के कोल इंडिया के फर्जी ईमेल से स्क्रैप खरीदने का प्रस्ताव भेज कर लक्ष्मण साधु शिंदे (55) को पटना बुलाया था।

यहां एयरपोर्ट से कार से उनका अपहरण कर नालंदा जिले के हिलसा थानांतर्गत नवाडीह ले गए थे। शिंदे के खाते में 12 लाख रुपये थे। अपराधियों ने ये रुपये अपने खाते में ट्रांसफर कराने के लिए उनके साथ मारपीट शुरू कर दी। हालांकि, 90 हजार रुपये ही वसूल पाए।

पिटाई से हुई शिंदे की मौत

पिटाई से शिंदे की मौत हो गई तो अपराधियों ने शव को जहानाबाद जिले के घोसी थानांतर्गत झुमकी एवं मानपुर गांव के बीच सड़क किनारे फेंक दिया। गिरोह का सरगना अपहरण के लिए कार मुहैया कराने वाले विपातरा कुमार का भांजा सुमित बताया जाता है। वह अभी फरार है।

एसएसपी अवकाश कुमार ने बताया कि गिरोह गत तीन महीने में गुजरात के राजकोट, अहमदाबाद, बड़ोदरा एवं झारखंड व बेंगलुरु के व्यवसायियों का अपहरण कर सात से 40 लाख रुपये तक वसूल चुका है। इनमें एक अधिवक्ता भी हैं।

अब तक किसी पीड़ित ने प्राथमिकी नहीं कराई, जिससे गिरोह का दुस्साहस बढ़ता चला गया। अब पटना पुलिस गिरोह के शिकार बने लोगों से संपर्क कर रही है। गुजरात पुलिस ने भी हवाईअड्डा थाने में आकर आरोपितों से पूछताछ की है।

नाम बदलकर लोगों को फांसता था

रंजीत शिंदे से शिवराज सागी बनकर संपर्क करने वाला रंजीत पटेल उर्फ मुन्ना था। रंजीत को स्क्रैप के कारोबार के बारे में अच्छी जानकारी थी। इस कारण शिंदे उसकी बातों में फंस गए। अपराधियों ने गूगल से नंबर लेकर शिंदे की कंपनी से संपर्क किया था। रंजीत ही कार से शिंदे को रिसिव करने पटना एयरपोर्ट गया था।

अब तक शिकार हुए ज्यादातर लोगों से रंजीत ही बातें करता था। अपहरण के बाद वह लोगों से रुपये ट्रांसफर करवाता और 24 घंटे के भीतर सुनसान स्थान पर छोड़ देता था। गिरफ्तारी के बाद रंजीत ने पूछताछ में पुलिस के सामने अपनी सारी करतूत स्वीकार कर ली है।

कार के रजिस्ट्रेशन नंबर से गिरोह तक पहुंची पुलिस

एयरपोर्ट पर लगे सीसी कैमरे के फुटेज में शिंदे एक कार पर बैठते दिखे थे। उसके रजिस्ट्रेशन नंबर से पुलिस ने कार मालिक की पहचान वैशाली जिले के जंदाहा थानांतर्गत लक्ष्मणपुर निवासी विपातरा कुमार के रूप में की। पुलिस ने जब उसे गिरफ्तार किया तो उसके पास से स्कार्पियो बरामद हुई।

हुंडई आइ-20 की बाबत पूछने पर उसने रंजीत पटेल का नाम लिया। पुलिस ने जब उसकी मोबाइल लोकेशन निकाली तो वह नवादा जिले के हिसुआ स्थित एक होटल का मिला। लोकेशन के आधार पर पुलिस ने होटल में दबिश देकर युवती समेत सात आरोपितों को दबोच लिया। उनकी निशानदेही पर चार और आरोपित अन्य जिलों से पकड़े गए। उनके नाम और पते का सत्यापन कराया जा रहा है।

नवादा जिले से इनकी हुई गिरफ्तारी

रंजीत पटेल उर्फ मुन्ना (छद्म नाम-शिवराज सागी) (रहीमचक, पावापुरी, नालंदा), विकास उर्फ मोहित (मेयार, नूरसराय, नालंदा), लाल बिहारी (नवाडीह, हिलसा, नालंदा), संगीता कुमारी (सौरे, बेन, नालंदा), कुंदन कुमार (खरुआरा, चेरो, नालंदा), करण उर्फ कुणाल उर्फ कुंदन (रानापर, वैशाली) और सचिन रंजन (रानापर, वैशाली)। 

क्या है पूरा मामला

पुणे के कोर्थूड़ थानांतर्गत एकलव्य कालेज के निकट इंद्रायणी को-आपरेटिव हाउसिंग सोसायटी डी/01 के रहने वाले स्क्रैप व्यवसायी लक्ष्मण साधु शिंदे (55) 11 अप्रैल की शाम साढ़े सात बजे पटना एयरपोर्ट पहुंचे थे। अगले दिन जहानाबाद जिले के घोसी थानांतर्गत झुमकी एवं मानपुर गांव के बीच उनका शव बरामद हुआ था।

इधर, संपर्क नहीं होने पर 12 अप्रैल को ही शिंदे के साढ़ू विशाल लवाजी लोखंडे ने कोर्थूड़ थाने में गुमशुदगी की शिकायत की थी, फिर पुणे पुलिस के साथ पटना आकर हवाईअड्डा थाने में अपहरण की प्राथमिकी कराई थी। 14 अप्रैल को पटना पुलिस ने शव की पहचान की थी।

China appointed as its new trade negotiator on Wednesday a former representative to the World Trade Organization who replaces Vice Commerce Minister Wang Shouwen, amid an escalating tariff war with the United States.Li Chenggang, 58, a former assistant commerce minister during the first administration of U.S. President Donald Trump, takes over from Wang, 59, the human resources and social security ministry said in a statement.The change comes as Beijing pursues a hardline stance in an intensifying trade war with Washington triggered by Trump's hefty tariffs on items imported from China.Li, who has held several key jobs in the commerce ministry, such as in departments overseeing treaties and law and fair trade, has an academic background in the elite Peking University and Germany's Hamburg University.He replaces Wang, a veteran commerce official and top trade negotiator since 2022.In the leadup to the U.S. tariff escalation, Wang welcomed foreign executives in Beijing, some from PepsiCo, Visa, P&G, Rio Tinto and Vale, reassuring them of China's economic prospects.The step came after official data showed foreign direct investment plummeted 27.1% in local currency terms in 2024 on the year, for its largest such drop since the 2008 global financial crisis.

Shares of city gas distribution companies Indraprastha Gas Ltd (IGL), Mahanagar Gas Ltd (MGL), and Adani Total Gas Ltd (ATGL) fell up to 6.4% in early trade on Wednesday after all three companies disclosed material changes in their domestic gas allocations, citing government-mandated revisions effective April 16, 2025.The shares of MGL took the hit, falling 6.3% to their day’s low of Rs 1,233, followed by IGL shares, which fell by 3.8% to Rs 172. Meanwhile, Adani Total Gas shares slipped 1.6% to Rs 601.05.The allocation of cheaper APM (Administered Price Mechanism) gas has been curtailed and replaced by higher-priced New Well Gas (NWG), raising concerns of margin pressures across the sector.The move, stemming from reduced domestic gas availability and shifting supply dynamics, is expected to affect profitability for these companies as they now have to rely more heavily on costlier gas supplies for their PNG (domestic) and CNG (transport) segments. Each company has issued separate stock exchange filings detailing the scale of impact.IGLIn a filing to the exchanges, IGL revealed that its domestic gas allocation has been reduced by around 20% with effect from April 16, 2025. While the company has been compensated with an allocation of New Well Gas (NWG) equal to approximately 125% of the shortfall, the higher pricing of NWG—linked to 12% of the Indian Crude Basket—is expected to dent margins.IGL had been receiving gas at a fixed government price of $6.75/MMBtu, which will now be partially replaced with more expensive alternatives, impacting the bottom line.MGLMGL announced that its allocation of APM natural gas has been reduced by 18% compared to the previous fortnight, under the revised guidelines issued by the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas.The company noted that while the shortfall is being substituted with New Well/Well Intervention Gas (NWG), the increased cost will negatively impact profitability. MGL is actively evaluating options to mitigate this impact but acknowledged the near-term pressure on margins.ATGLATGL, too, informed exchanges that its APM gas allocation has been cut by 15%, effective April 16, 2025.
