Shri P. K. Agrawal, President of the Bihar Chamber of Commerce and Industries, along with Executive Committee Member Shri Sumit Kumar, met the Hon’ble Union Minister of Communications, Shri Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, at his office in Sanchar Bhawan, New Delhi. They requested him to issue a commemorative postage stamp to mark the Chamber’s Centenary Year. The Minister was warmly honoured with a bouquet and a shawl.

The Hon’ble Minister had a meaningful discussion on trade and industry in Bihar and shared the steps being taken by the Ministry of Communications to support ease of doing business. He also mentioned that his family was associated with the establishment of the Madhya Pradesh Chamber of Commerce and Industries in 1902, and he understands the important role Chambers play in economic growth. During the conversation, he appreciated how Bihar’s Madhubani painting has earned global recognition, just like Chanderi from Madhya Pradesh.

The delegation invited him to attend the Chamber’s Centenary Celebrations as a distinguished guest. He kindly accepted the invitation and assured that he would visit Patna in September after the Parliament session.

A delegation from the Bihar Chamber of Commerce and Industries met the Hon’ble Minister of Commerce & Industry, Shri Piyush Goyal, at his office in Udyog Bhawan, New Delhi. The delegation honoured him with a bouquet, a shawl, and the Chamber’s coffee table book.

During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on industry and trade in Bihar. The Hon’ble Minister informed the delegation about the Government of India’s ambitious scheme “BHAVYA” (Bharat Industrial Development Scheme) with an outlay of ₹33,660 crore. The scheme aims to strengthen domestic manufacturing and develop 100 investment-ready, plug-and-play industrial parks across the country.

The delegation also invited the Hon’ble Minister to grace the Chamber’s ongoing Centenary  Celebrations as a distinguished guest. He graciously accepted the invitation and assured that he would visit Patna in the month of September.

The delegation comprised President Shri P. K. Agrawal along with Executive Committee Members CA Arun Kumar and Shri Sumit Kumar.

A delegation from the Bihar Chamber of Commerce and Industries met the Hon’ble Finance & Corporate Affairs Minister, Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman, at her office in Kartavya Bhawan, New Delhi. The delegation invited her to grace the Chamber’s Centenary Celebrations as a distinguished guest and also requested the issuance of a commemorative coin to mark the occasion. The Hon’ble Minister kindly assured that she would consider the invitation.

The delegation honoured her with a bouquet, a shawl, and the Chamber’s coffee table book as a mark of respect.

The Hon’ble Minister had a detailed discussion with the delegation regarding industry and trade in Bihar. She expressed her satisfaction over the State’s industrial progress and assured all possible support and guidance to further accelerate industrial development in the State.

Chamber President Shri P.K. Agrawal and Executive Committee Member Shri Sumit Kumar met Joint Secretary, Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Shri Balamurugan D., IAS, and Smt. Anita Shah Akela, IAS, at Kartavya Bhawan (Secretariat), New Delhi. They requested the early establishment of a National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) Bench in Patna. The officials assured that until a full bench is set up in Patna, a Circuit Bench can be started so that entrepreneurs, company secretaries, and professionals of the State do not have to travel to Kolkata for NCLT matters.
The Chamber has been continuously pursuing this matter for the last eight years, as at present entrepreneurs from Bihar have to go to Kolkata for cases related to the Companies Act, which leads to loss of both time and money.
The Chamber always works to improve facilities for entrepreneurs, businessmen, and professionals of the State, and this effort is part of that ongoing commitment.

A delegation of the Bihar Chamber of Commerce and Industries met Hon’ble MP (Rajya Sabha)  Shri Nitin Nabin at his residence in New Delhi. The delegation held a detailed discussion with him on the overall development of the State.*

A delegation of the Bihar Chamber of Commerce and Industries met Hon’ble Former President Shri Ram Nath Kovind at his residence in New Delhi. The delegation invited him to attend the Chamber’s ongoing Centenary  Celebrations. He warmly responded and said that he has a strong connection with Bihar, and would visit Patna in the second half of July or the first half of August 2026 to take part in the centenary Celebration.

The Chamber delegation honored Hon’ble Former President by presenting a bouquet, a shawl, and the Chamber’s handbook as a mark of respect.

A delegation of the Bihar Chamber of Commerce and Industries met Hon’ble Union Minister of Jal Shakti Shri C.R. Patil at his residence in New Delhi. Meeting with the Hon'ble Union Minister where discussed important issues such as the Jal Jeevan Mission and the Jal Shakti Abhiyan.*

The delegation invited him to attend the Chamber’s Centenary Celebration as the Chief Guest. He appreciated the invitation and said he would share his consent soon.

Also present on the occasion were Finance Secretary, Government of Bihar, Shri Sanjay Kumar Singh, IAS; Vice Presidents Shri N. K. Thakur and Shri Vishal Tekriwal; Secretary General Shri Mukesh Kumar Jain; and Former President Shri Subhash Kumar Patwari.

On the occasion of the Centenary year of the Bihar Chamber of Commerce and Industries, a Two-Day State-Level ‘Vyavsayik Samagam’ was organized on 23rd and 24th May 2026. Around 300 representatives from more than 70 chambers and associations from across the State participated in the event.

On the second day of the programme, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Bihar, Shri Samrat Choudhary Ji, attended as the Chief Guest. The first session of the second day was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Chief Minister by lighting the ceremonial lamp. Also present on the occasion were Chamber President Shri P. K. Agrawal, Vice Presidents Shri N. K. Thakur and Shri Vishal Tekriwal, Secretary General Shri Mukesh Kumar Jain, Hony. Treasurer Shri Rajesh Jain, and Former President Shri Subhash Kumar Patwari.
